Terms & Conditions, Sauna Sessions (All Sites) and Bespoke Builds
Terms & Conditions, Sauna Sessions (All Sites)
Last updated: July 2026
1. About Us Sauna Stable Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates sauna sessions at a number of locations. By making a booking you agree to these terms and conditions. Our sites differ in character and setting: some sit within active marina, boatyard or hospitality environments; others are off-grid rural locations. The specific access, facilities and safety information for your chosen site is provided on the relevant location page and in your booking confirmation, and forms part of these terms. It is your responsibility to read this before travelling.
2. Bookings
All sessions must be booked and paid in full in advance via our online booking system. A booking is only confirmed once you have received a confirmation email. Sessions are for a maximum number of guests per booking (dependant on the sauna or site) unless stated otherwise. The lead booker must be 18 or over and is responsible for ensuring all guests are aware of, and agree to, these terms, our health declaration, and the site-specific safety information before arrival. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any guest who does not meet our health or safety requirements.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are shown on our website and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Full payment is required at the time of booking, via the payment methods offered at checkout.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations more than 48 hours before your session start time receive a full refund to the original payment method (please allow 5–10 working days). Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable under any circumstances, including illness, except as set out in clause 6. To cancel, contact enquiries@saunastable.com or 01202 970 292.
5. Rescheduling
You may reschedule free of charge more than 48 hours before your booking. Requests within 48 hours are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Each booking may be rescheduled once, subject to availability, with no guarantee of the same time slot.
6. Operational & Weather Cancellations
If we have to cancel due to adverse weather, equipment failure, staffing, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, you will be offered a full refund or a free reschedule. We will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable. We are not liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs incurred as a result.
7. No-Shows
Guests who fail to attend without prior notice forfeit their booking in full. No refund or credit is issued.
8. Session Times & Late Arrival Sessions last 45 minutes and begin at the booked start time. Late arrival will not extend your session. Please allow enough time to park, reach the sauna (which at some sites involves a walk from the parking area — see your location information), change, and be ready at the sauna for your start time.
9. Health Declaration
Sauna use is not suitable for everyone. By booking you confirm that you have read our health declaration and that, for every guest in your group, none of the following applies (or, where it does, a GP has confirmed they are safe to use a sauna):
-
Pregnancy
-
A heart condition, high or low blood pressure, or a circulatory disorder
-
Epilepsy or a neurological condition
-
Diabetes (unless medically cleared for heat exposure)
-
Taking medication that may be affected by heat or dehydration
-
A serious skin condition or open wounds
-
Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs
-
Being under 18 years of age
All guests must be 18 or over. We reserve the right to refuse access to any guest who appears unwell, intoxicated, or otherwise unfit to use the sauna safely. If in doubt, consult a GP before booking.
10. Site Access & Facilities
Our sites vary. Depending on your chosen location this may mean:
-
Reaching the sauna on foot across rough, uneven ground, including a walk from a parking area. Guests must be able-bodied and able to make this walk unaided.
-
Limited or no facilities — some sites have no toilets, showers, changing facilities or drinking water. Please check your location information and come prepared.
-
Poor or no mobile signal and Wi-Fi. Please save directions before you travel.
-
Parking is subject to availability and is not guaranteed. We accept no liability for parking charges, availability or inconvenience. The facilities, terrain and access arrangements for your site are set out on the location page and in your booking confirmation.
11. Open Water & River Access
Where a site is beside a river, lake, the sea or other open water, any swimming or water immersion is entirely at your own risk. You must enter and leave the water only via any designated platform or entry point; rinse off before entering and not use shampoos, soaps, sun creams or similar products in, or immediately before entering, the water, to protect the natural environment; and supervise your own group at all times. We do not provide lifeguards. Open water carries inherent risks including cold-water shock, currents and uneven beds.
12. Conduct & Environment
All guests must: take care around the site and follow all safety signage and staff instructions; keep to designated paths and the sauna area, and visit only during their booked session; respect the surrounding environment, wildlife and any nesting birds, and take all litter away; not bring BBQs, open flames (other than the sauna itself) or picnics unless expressly permitted; and keep swimwear covered with a robe or clothing, and be appropriately dressed, when moving through areas shared with the public, a restaurant or a marina.
13. Liability
Guests participate voluntarily and at their own risk. Sauna use involves exposure to high temperatures and carries inherent risks including, but not limited to, dizziness, dehydration and cardiovascular stress. Sauna Stable Ltd, its employees and agents shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage suffered during or as a result of your session, except where directly caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Personal Belongings
We accept no responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought onto the site.
15. Photography & Media
Guests must not photograph or film other visitors without their consent. We may occasionally photograph our facilities for marketing — please tell a member of staff on arrival if you do not wish to be included.
16. Data Protection
Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We use your contact details to manage your booking and communicate with you about your session, and will not share your data with third parties except where required to process your booking.
17. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Terms & Conditions, Bespoke Builds
These Terms govern all bespoke sauna build orders with Sauna Stable Ltd ("we," "us," "our"). By confirming an order, the client accepts these Terms in full. They do not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. Order Confirmation
An order is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed order form (or written email confirmation) and the deposit. We reserve the right to decline any order prior to confirmation. Any changes to a confirmed order must be requested in writing and are subject to availability and agreement.
2. Payment Schedule
All payments are due in GBP by bank transfer, to the details on your invoice.
Initial Payment — 30%, due at order confirmation to secure your build slot
Stage payment — 30%, due no later than 5 weeks before the confirmed delivery date
Final payment — 40%, due on the date of delivery or collection, prior to handover
Orders are not confirmed and build slots are not reserved until the deposit has cleared. A VAT invoice is issued on receipt of each payment. Late payments accrue interest at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate; we reserve the right to suspend or cancel any order where payment remains outstanding beyond 7 days of the due date.
3. Cancellations
More than 8 weeks before delivery: deposit retained, no further charge
5–8 weeks before delivery: deposit and any stage payment retained
Less than 5 weeks before delivery: full balance becomes payable and is non-refundable
Cancellations must be in writing and take effect from the date of receipt. If we cancel a confirmed order for reasons within our control, all monies paid are refunded in full within 14 days.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients must provide accurate specifications and any necessary access or permits. Delays caused by the client may affect timelines and costs.
5. Delivery, Ownership & Risk
Ownership transfers on receipt of full payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Risk transfers to the client on delivery or collection. Delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by weather, transport, or supply issues; the client is responsible for a suitable, accessible delivery location.
6. Road & Trailer Use
Sauna Stable units are built on converted trailer bases. We do not warrant that any unit is roadworthy or road-legal at the point of delivery or beyond. It is the client's responsibility to ensure any unit they tow or transport meets applicable legal requirements — independent inspection is recommended before road use.
7. Warranty
Workmanship is warranted for 12 months from delivery. Bench seating/joinery is covered for 12 months; ventilation fittings/hardware for 6 months. Stove, flue, and electrical components are covered by the relevant manufacturer's warranty only. Warranty excludes fair wear and tear, misuse, unauthorised modification, and damage from weather or poor maintenance. Claims must be made in writing with photographic evidence.
8. Liability
Our total liability in connection with any sale is limited to the total sum paid by the client. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
9. Intellectual Property
All designs, drawings, and images remain the property of Sauna Stable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales; disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
